About Spider Pros

A local spider control company that takes the webs off first

Spider Pros is locally owned and based in Sarnia. We started it for one reason: the homes along Lake Huron carry some of the heaviest spider loads in Ontario, and most of the companies serving them spray and leave. We wanted a service that removes the webs, spiders and egg sacs by hand, treats only where it is justified, and tells you exactly what it did.

Licensed and insured

The paperwork, in three lines

Pest control in Ontario is regulated, and it should be. Here is what stands behind every visit.

Ontario exterminator licenceOur work is done by trained team members supervised by a licensed Structural exterminator under the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, and the company holds an operator licence. Products are registered in Canada and applied according to the label.
Insured for this work$2 million commercial general liability, $1 million pollution liability (the pesticide specific coverage most general policies leave out), and WSIB coverage for every team member, so our technicians are covered by the provincial system while they work on your property. Ask and we will show you the certificates.
Trained techniciansEvery technician is trained on the equipment, the products and the protective gear the label requires before they work on a customer's home, and works under the supervision of our licensed exterminator. Most of our crew are local students and graduates in their early twenties.

What we believe

Less product on the house, more care around it

Most homes along the lake have a dog, a garden, grandchildren who visit, and a bird feeder they would like the birds to keep using. That is why removal comes first. Vacuuming webs, spiders and egg sacs off the house works the moment we do it, uses no product at all, and takes away the reason to spray most of the surfaces. Treatment is then limited to the places spiders actually settle.

We say reduce, never eliminate. Spiders live in the yard and will always walk onto a house near the lake. What we promise is fewer webs, fewer spiders, a crew that tells you what it did, and a return visit if the treated areas are webbed up again within 60 days. The guarantee, in plain English.

Where we work

Two service depots, six towns

Crews operate from service depots in Sarnia and Kincardine and run set routes through Sarnia and Bright's Grove, Grand Bend, Bayfield, Goderich, Kincardine and Port Elgin. Customers never need to visit a depot; everything happens by phone, text and at your home.

Call or text 519 331 4210, or email info@spiderpros.ca. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and crews run Monday to Sunday, 8 am to 9 pm. Spiders are a March to November job here, so that is when we run: the season is March 1 to November 15, and off season messages are answered and booked for the first service days in spring.
